School readiness:
Our school assesses the individual needs of every incoming kindergarten student, and plans very carefully with outside agencies and parents in preparation for the transition to elementary school. We prepare our 6th grade students by providing a middle school model and communicate frequently with middle school staff to prepare students for the transition to 7th grade and beyond. Many strategies are implemented at our school that stress the importance of daily attendance and other skills for success that will promote long-term achievement for all of our students.

Academic support:
Our Wilson teachers and support staff are highly trained in how to help students in need of support. As a Title One-funded school, we spend the majority of our funds on hiring personnel to work directly with students. There are specific systems in place to identify students who need support ranging in literacy skills, math skills, and behavior interventions early in the school year, and adjustments are made within their school day to help meet the unique individual needs of each student.

Academic Enrichment:
We provide enrichment for all of our students by differentiating instruction daily for each child in order to meet their individual needs and to help them reach their highest potential. Enrichment is also provided through music education, art, physical education, social skills education, as well as technology and media.
