Meet Mr. Kessler

Mr. Steve Kessler received his Bachelors degree in Music Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 1995 and his Masters degree in Wind Conducting from Indiana University in 2001. 

Mr. Kessler began his teaching career in southern Indiana where he taught middle and high school band and orchestra from 1995-1999.  During graduate school at Indiana University (1999-2001), Mr. Kessler was an Associate Instructor in charge of the 45 member trumpet section of the Marching Hundred (IUís 300 member marching band), director of the womenís basketball and menís soccer pep bands, and conductor of the 100 member All-Campus Band.  From 2001-2003, Mr. Kessler was the band director at Eagle Point High School.


In addition to teaching the bands at North Medford High School, and at Kennedy, Lincoln, and Lone Pine Elementary, Mr. Kessler plays the trumpet in the Rogue Valley Symphony and the Ashland City Band. He and his wife, Kristin, live in Medford with their son, Nathan.
