The Black Tornado Wrestling Team is coached by Phillip Lopez. Coach Lopez comes to the Black Tornado from Reedsport High School, where he was head coach from 2005-2010 and 2012-13. During 2010-12, he was an assistant wrestling coach at Southwest Oregon Community College.  He has directed his own wrestling camp since 2006, and has been a technician coach at Oregon State University’s camp since 2010. He participated in the wrestling programs at Southern Oregon University and Southwest Oregon Community College. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Willamette High School 1999-2003.
Coach Lopez has been named the Conference Coach of the Year three times as well as State Coach of the Year and Northwest Regional Coach of the Year.

Coach Lopez is also helping coach our Frosh football team.
