Vision Statement:  Through collaboration, innovation and best practices, students and staff will achieve their full potential.

Mission Statement:  Our mission is to create a passion for lifelong learning.  Through a climate of dedication, love and respect, our school community nurtures children to become productive and responsible citizens.

Dear Abraham Lincoln Parents and Community,

Abraham Lincoln Elementary is a wonderful community for learning.  Students strive for high achievement while treating each other with respect.  Our school population is 490 students.  We support three kindergarten and three lst grade classes, two 2nd and 3rd grades and one 2nd/ 3rd blend, two 4th, 5th & 6th grades, and two MAPS.  Every student is very important to us.

Parents are involved in many aspects of school, with volunteers adding to the enrichment and learning which happens each day.   Please contact us if you would like to join our volunteers and support learning activities.

The curriculum foundation at ALE is the National Common Core Standards.  You will find these Standards in detail by visiting the Oregon Department of Education’s Website. (http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=2  Our curriculum foundation is the National Common Core Standards for all Kindergarten through Sixth graders.  Our teachers' daily lessons are in alignment with these standards.  Our staff provides quality instruction for all students.  We include technology into our instruction where possible.  We have two computer labs which offer resources that support instruction and assessment in all curriculum areas.

We work to create optimum learning conditions at ALE.  Learning can best take place in a physically and emotionally safe environment.  One way we create this environment is through our ongoing PBIS (Positive Behavior and Intervention Support) instruction.  Our District  vision is “Successful Students Today… Successful Citizen Tomorrow” and we live this expectation each day.

You can be assured that every learning environment at ALE is led by a highly qualified teacher who understands how to meet the learning needs of students.

Please feel free to join us and be a part of our Abraham Lincoln community.  Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Patti Frazier, Principal           patti.frazier@medford.k12.or.us
