Title One

The Title One Advantage

Roosevelt Elementary School is a Title I school, where federal funds are provided to increase student learning. Due to our qualifying status as ‘school-wide’, all students are eligible for services. Our highly qualified Title 1 staff consists of six Classroom Literacy Assistants (CLA’s), three Early Reading Interventionists (ERI’s), and one certified Reading Specialist dedicated to providing effective instruction that is research-based, timely, and specific to student needs. All certified classroom teachers also meet the highly qualified status as required by The No Child Left Behind Act.

There are a number of accountabilities embedded into our acceptance of federal dollars, with parameters of how money and personnel are utilized. Important professional development trainings for staff and specific trainings for parents provide vital support to enhance our effectiveness both within the school and in the home. We welcome all parents to become familiar with our Parent Involvement Plan and our School Improvement Plan and to join us in working together to best serve our students. If you have any questions, or would like to get more involved, please contact Cali Wright at 541.842.3444.
