Howard Elementary is a Title I School. The purpose of this title is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. The Common Core State Standards are a set of educational standards currently being implemented and assessed at our schools. The Smarter Balanced Assessment is the new test that assesses the Common Core State Standards. Our students will be taking these series of tests this year for the first time.
